I found music a very non-feminine place to be in and embracing this kind of femininity has been a really interesting challenge for me. It was a challenge to be feminine, strong, as well as soft, yet take good care of myself, without reducing myself, was not an easy one for me. The experience was one I enjoyed tremendously. I was in love with wearing heels and a dress every day as well as the soft material. My experience as an actress is much more recent than everybody else [in Fantastic Beasts] and there was plenty of pressure to be a part of it. But I had this strange feeling that during the auditions there was an immense force behind me; I may either fall under it and crumble because of how much I hoped to get it and how big this was, or step on top of it and let it push me forward. There is a possibility to go on hours walking around visiting museums, coffee shops and even parks. There is a feeling of being isolated in LA and London, however the Tube places you at right in the middle of it all. Any human being you could imagine can be observed. I enjoy watching people. I come from the world of music, in which you're always surrounded by men and you feel like you're in really intimate situations all the time working with males. It's an amazing fantasyland for me. I've read the entire books. The books I've read on tour were quite impressive and enthralling. The worlds they create are wonderful that you can get lost into. Alison Alison Alison
